Product Overview
The API dust cap is designed to protect the API adapter when not in use, shielding the valve from dust, moisture, and physical damage during transport and storage. It plays a critical role in maintaining system cleanliness and protecting fuel quality by preventing contaminants from entering the connection interface.
Our API dust caps are engineered for durability and ease of use, featuring a lightweight die-cast aluminum construction with a special proprietary coating that resists cracking, flaking, or peeling even under extreme conditions. Each cap is designed for one-handed operation, making it fast and convenient to install or remove without tools.
The API dust cap features an internal sealing gasket (made of NBR or Viton, depending on model) that provides a tight seal against residual fuel leaks and keeps the system pressure-safe when inactive. A pre-installed stainless steel chain keeps the cap securely tethered to the tanker, and integrated lock holes allow for tamper-evident lead seals if needed.
